According to the information received, BMW is currently exploring the possibility of adopting a supercar that can rival the McLaren 570S. Klaus Fröhlich, a member of BMW's board of management, recently commented on this:
«If you are an engineer by profession, you will definitely want to create at least one super sports car in your life.»

According to him, BMW possesses both the technologies and technical capabilities to create a hybrid supercar.
