Review of BMW X4 2014

Previously, I owned a BMW X3, which belonged to the previous generation. In my opinion, BMW X4 can be considered a successful product of the Bavarian designers' work. It is just as practical as the X4 version but resembles the X6 more. The key difference is its lack of the «heaviness» inherent in the «six.»

In terms of dimensions, there is almost no difference compared to BMW X6 — the X4 is shorter by 21 cm in length and 10 cm in width. I opted for the diesel version as, in terms of dynamics, it is no worse than the petrol one but demonstrates a much better level of dynamism and reliability.

Compared to the previous-generation BMW X3, it has a much more spacious cabin with excellent ergonomics. The multimedia system's functionality has also improved significantly. The build quality has also improved, despite some minor flaws that spoil the overall picture.

Among the downsides are uneven panel gaps, uneven wheel arch piston mountings, and openly positioned seat hinges in the cabin. In a premium-class car, such issues are completely unacceptable.

Furthermore, a serious drawback is the poor rearview mirror visibility. The extremely high price is also a significant downside. The seat installation in this model is lower than in the X3. The standard equipment is almost empty, while the available options are quite expensive.

However, the seamless collaboration of the diesel engine with 6 cylinders and the 8-speed automatic transmission is impeccable. The suspension settings are also optimal, striking a reasonable balance between energy consumption and ride smoothness.

Review of BMW X4 2016

The efforts of marketers and engineers from Bavaria were not in vain, resulting in the introduction of the BMW X4 to the automotive market. It has a rather unusual appearance for a car produced by the Bavarian company.

Nevertheless, this is the optimal choice for those who like to stand out. But even ordinary car enthusiasts will appreciate it. Bavarian engineers were right in creating a reduced copy of the X6 model.

The first positive aspect is, of course, the Gran Coupe. Despite being somewhat unconventional and illogical, it adds a special beauty to the car. Manufacturers, in turn, strive to increase the popularity of the car and create buzz in society.

For me personally, this has never been a problem because, regardless of the exterior, German-made cars have always been distinguished by excellent quality.

It is worth noting that the front of the car has a unique appearance. The air intakes are large, and the headlights are slightly slanted, making the car resemble a hamster to some extent. However, this is inconsequential while driving.

After being behind the wheel of this car and driving it for about 300 kilometers, I fell in love with it once and for all. This is quite rare for me, as I am quite critical when choosing a car.

The excellent visibility achieved by the presence of four cameras — front, rear, and two on the sides — was the greatest joy for me. The image obtained is exceptionally clear.

In my opinion, the main advantage of this car is its outstanding performance. In some cases, while inside, there is a desire to jump to the sky. Perhaps this is a slight exaggeration, but that was exactly how I felt behind the wheel.

The fourth model has taken the best qualities of the third, and the manufacturer's bonus was equipping it with high-quality sports components. Another positive aspect of this model is the ability to make sporty adjustments. The model's distinctive features are its cohesion, balance, and agility.

The car's equipment with paddle shifters, Sport+ mode, or all-wheel drive system is also impressive. This is probably where the praises for the German-made car should end. I must say that these are far from its only positive qualities.

Regardless of the configuration, the best way to assess its comfort is to experience it yourself. I have no regrets about choosing this model as my personal car, as it is practically an ideal option for traveling on various road surfaces.

The car can be purchased at a reasonable price, with various configuration and option choices to suit every taste and budget, allowing everyone to select the most suitable one available for sale.
