Review of the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo F34

The third series has been enriched with BMW 3 F34 hatchbacks. The company has targeted a specific audience of motorists who appreciate practicality. The model was built on the same platform as the estate.

Exterior

The side lines of the cars have elongated shapes, giving rise to fastbacks. The exterior features swift dynamics, with an overall preserved concept that increases in length towards the stern. The roofs are classic, like in a coupe, allowing for expanded interior spaces.

The rear ends of the cars have wide bodies, contributing to greater stability. The optical devices have become wider.

The underbodies and front bumpers have acquired optimally aerodynamic shapes. As a result, fuel costs are reduced. The coefficients of frontal resistance have decreased. Optimal noise protection and rust protection are ensured.

Important! The active rear spoilers operate in automatic modes and extend themselves at speeds exceeding 110 km/h. If the speed drops below 70 km/h, they retract automatically.

Drivers can control these units themselves, using buttons in the cars located below the electric window drives.

The cars come with 17-inch alloy wheels. However, they can be equipped with 18-inch wheels as well.

The car's dimensions have been increased compared to its predecessor. It now belongs to the European D-class:

• According to owners' reviews, there is sufficient gallery space. This was achieved by increasing the wheelbase. Therefore, there is room for three people.
• Comfort and spaciousness are achieved through frameless doors, large door apertures, and trunks.
• The boots have high-quality finishing materials and well-thought-out configurations. The seats can be folded 40:20:40 manually using levers in the car. Optionally, buttons appear that can be found on remote control key fobs.
• There are 2 shelves in the boots, serving as compartments for storing items. When opening/closing the rear doors, the shelves do not transform. However, if you do not need them, they can be easily removed.
• The batteries are located inside the rear right wings. To access them, you first need to open the boot.
• The space can be further expanded by installing panoramic roofs in the car, which come with electrically operated blinds.

The equipment of the BMW 3 F34, like sedans, is similar to that of estate cars.

Important! Standard four-cylinder petrol engines are combined with Twin Scroll turbochargers, Vavetronic mechanisms, Double Vanos, and high-precision injections.

Even the most modest rear-wheel-drive cars 320i have maximum speeds of 229 km/h. Acceleration is 7.9 sec/100 km/h. Consumption ranges from 5.1 to 8.2 L/100 km, taking into account (highway and city).

The most dynamic cars are the 335i. They have in-line six-cylinder engines. They are all-wheel drive xDrive. Maximum speed of 250 km/h. Acceleration in 5.3 sec. Consumption from 5.9 to 11.6 L.

The cars work with 8-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions.

Technological Equipment

• The BMW 3 F34 cars use advanced technologies for suspension. Elements are made of lightweight alloys. Therefore, the axle loads are balanced with a 50:50 distribution.
• The steering wheels have electric power steering. Optionally, adaptive sport steering mechanisms can be used.
