Standard options include LED headlights with LED taillights. Optionally, laser-phosphor headlights can be installed for long-range illumination up to 500 km.

Engines of BMW X5 G05
The BMW X5 G05 crossovers have four types of engines.
In the gasoline variants, the xDrive 40i models have six-cylinder, 3.0-liter engines, producing 340 horsepower. They are turbocharged, with direct fuel injection, 24-valve VANOS systems at intake and exhaust. Top speed is 243 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
The xDrive50i features powerful V8 gasoline engines with 4.4 liters and 462 horsepower. They are twin-turbocharged, with 32-valve VANOS, adjustable camshafts for gas distribution. They accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
However, they are not fond of excessive oil consumption. If this occurs, piston rings may need replacement. If ignition is missed, replace the spark plugs. Consulting experts for chip tuning can enhance power characteristics. By installing Stage 1+Stage 2, power can be increased by 60 horsepower.
The costly BMW X5 m50d G05 cars are equipped with six-cylinder, 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engines. During testing, the car delivered 400 horsepower, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h, with acceleration of 5.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. The engines have four turbochargers, 24-valve VANOS, direct fuel injection mechanisms.
The diesel xDrive30d models work with six-cylinder, 3.0-liter diesel engines. With 265 horsepower, they accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Specialists in chip tuning can boost the car's power. After block programming, power increases to 300 hp. Downpipes will further increase performance by 20 units.

Cars running on diesel engines may face intake manifold swirl flap contamination. To prevent this, clean the EGR valves promptly.
If noises and abnormal sounds occur, the crankshaft dampers need replacement. If the rear parts of the engines knock, it indicates that the timing chains in the car are not functioning.
The gasoline fuel consumption in these cars is 9.2 — 11.6 l/100 km. For diesel, it's 7.5 l, under mixed cycles. Diesel tanks hold 80 liters, gasoline tanks hold 83 liters. Oil viscosity should be 5W30 or 5W40.
Technological Component
All units work with eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmissions. The crossovers feature xDrive all-wheel-drive systems equipped with automatic clutch locks.
Important! If necessary, front axles can be engaged in the car.
Rear-wheel-drive versions will be released for North American users.
The suspension elements are independent, with double wishbones at the front and multi-link at the rear. Base configurations come with Dynamic Damper Control mechanisms for shock stiffness adjustment.
Optional air suspension components can be installed. This allows adjusting road clearances within 19.4 — 28.4 cm. Owners have positively reviewed the base suspensions for their softness that smoothens bumps and potholes, making them imperceptible.
The cars feature rack-and-pinion steering systems with electric power steering. Optionally, rear-wheel steering mechanisms can be added.
Important! The disc brake mechanisms on the wheels are ventilated.
Electronic Equipment
The new cars are likened to smartphones on wheels due to the BMW OS 7.0 operating system. It was developed by the consortium along with Microsoft.
iDrive refers only to controllers. SUV owners have their IDs, granting them access to the Open Mobility Cloud.
Built-in multimedia devices include standard office applications, Skype, and weather widgets.
The mechanisms adapt to driving styles.
Before trips, the cars will provide alerts for traffic jams, adverse weather conditions, and available parking spaces.
The BMW X5 G05 crossovers are equipped with autopilots that monitor speed to prevent exceeding 60 km/h. Cabin cameras monitor the driver's well-being. If issues arise, the car will brake or veer off the road.
