BMW E92 2007 Review
It so happened that my whole family are fans of the BMW brand. The love for this brand was instilled in me by my father. I now own a BMW E92 2007 model. I specifically sought out a coupe body style as sedans didn't appeal to me in terms of design, especially the playful taillights at the rear of the car.
Furthermore, I mostly drive alone, and the coupe looks great from every angle. The car came fully equipped, including all-wheel drive, leather interior, navigation system, bi-xenon headlights, and much more. The suspension is moderately firm, but one cannot expect anything else from a sports car.
The 2.5-liter engine is a delight in every aspect, the handling is superb, and the seamless interaction between the automatic transmission and the engine is considered the best in its class by me.
After driving the car for a while, I decided to upgrade the exhaust system with a REMUS installation, as the standard muffler type was not to my liking. The installation of the sports muffler significantly improved the sound quality, making the car sound much better.
The car is equipped with all-wheel drive, the usefulness of which was fully appreciated when driving in winter: it demonstrates excellent stability and does not give in when encountering light off-road conditions.
As long as there is sufficient ground clearance, the car moves forward like a determined locomotive, sometimes making you feel like you're driving a small crossover. The quality winter tires also play a significant role in this. The precise steering and braking system operation are also pleasing.
I consider the car's design to be successful; it looks fantastic from every angle. As for ergonomics, the driver's comfort is well taken care of in every aspect.
The layout of details and buttons is well thought out and convenient, with an iPod outlet eliminating the need to carry a bunch of discs; now all music can be stored on a single hard drive. Drivers of tall stature can adjust both the seat and steering column in two planes.
During winter, the car performs excellently with its salon heating system; the leather seats heat up in a matter of seconds, and turning the system to the maximum can even cause burns. The quality of materials, the soft-touch plastic on the instrument panel, and the high-quality assembly of the interior are worth mentioning, as even after three years of use, no extraneous squeaks are detected. The car comfortably accommodates four adults.
The 440-liter trunk volume allows you to take everything necessary for a long trip or transport bulky cargo by folding the rear seats.
Having driven the car for about 300,000 kilometers over a year and a half, I haven't done anything to it, except for scheduled oil changes, filter replacements, and brake pads. If you take good care of it, it will work for a long time. Good luck on the roads!
BMW E92 2015 Review
I decided to share a bit about my new car, as there are not many reviews on this body style. Before getting a BMW, I only drove all-wheel-drive vehicles with high ground clearance.
I won't describe the selection process, but in the end, I got this: a BMW with rear-wheel drive, despite its fairly simple equipment, has everything you need. The only thing missing is a dual-zone climate control system; there is only a screen.
After driving 200 meters, the car is still quite low, although it has not scraped the bottom on any uneven surfaces yet. The first thing I was very pleased with in the car is the brakes; they are immediately noticeable. The handling is simply delightful, with almost no body roll.
As for the engine, I can't say much yet, as I have only driven 600 kilometers, and have not revved it above 4,500 rpm. The only thing to get used to is the gearbox; it's too jerky on this model. Other negative aspects include insufficient noise isolation and the standard audio system. Gradually, I want to modify everything to suit my preferences; I have many plans for the car.
BMW E92 2007 Review
A true BMW car not only transports you but also provides joy in driving it. When behind the wheel of this BMW, every turn feels particularly sharp, and during sudden acceleration, it presses the driver and passengers into their seats.
The seats are very comfortable, upholstered in leather. The engine is responsive regardless of the revs it operates at. The most thrilling sensations are around the third gear, after reaching a speed of 120 km/h, it's truly exhilarating, even after owning it for 4 years.
Regarding technical aspects of use, fuel consumption ranges from 15 to 18 liters in urban conditions and 9 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway. The car has never been known for high oil consumption; its other strong suit is the engine.
The suspension is slightly stiff, and some suspension components are consumables, for instance, bushings and stabilizer struts need replacing every season. The only thing to be cautious about while driving the car is avoiding potholes as it's quite sensitive to them.
