Electronic Equipment of BMW 2 F22
The vehicles are equipped with safety-related mechanisms.
BMW ABS aids in wheel unlocking during braking. Even during emergency braking, the cars remain stable and controllable.
There were no official events. However, tuning can be done as desired. The aftermarket allows for the purchase of various products to enhance the car. Starting from overlays, ending with exhaust/braking systems and discs. Exhaust assemblies can be upgraded with carbon tips. For brake systems, choose from three types of necessary components.

DSC systems monitor the condition of vehicles. There are 4 of them. They prevent overturning or skidding. Experts claim that these sensors are crucial for safety, just like seat belts.
Important! DBC ensures the shortest braking distance by setting the required pressure in the car's brake systems.
SCS for monitoring braking processes and overcoming bends. These are optimal braking systems. The brake devices and gas pedals interact. When drivers press the brake pedals, microcomputers evaluate information about necessary parameters and apply brake efforts to specific wheels. Efforts are redistributed when motion parameters change.
DTC helps prevent wheel spinning and skidding. The cars start confidently and perform well on inclines/declines. This is particularly noticeable on slippery roads.
Important! When these mechanisms are turned off or absent, drivers compensate for these impulses by steering turns.
Engines of BMW 2 F22
The early BMW 2 F22 cars featured Vanos and Valvetronic engines. The petrol 220i models operated with four-cylinder engines. By the summer of 2016, they were fitted with two-liter engines, generating 184 hp. Accelerating in 7.1 seconds, with a top speed of 235 km/h. Fuel consumption ranges from 4.7 to 7 liters.
The most powerful petrol versions M235i/240i are equipped with 3-liter engines (N55 and B58), with 326 hp and 340 hp. Acceleration in 4.8 seconds. With a top speed of 250 km/h. Fuel consumption ranges from 5.9-10.3/6.2-10 l/100 km.
The economical 218d models feature two-liter B47 engines, producing 143 hp. Fuel consumption is 3.6-4.8 liters. Acceleration in 8.4 sec/100 km. Maximum speed of 213 km/h.
The 220d models, produced until 2017 with similar engines, feature 190 hp. Acceleration in 7.1 seconds. Maximum speed of 230 km/h. Fuel consumption is 3.8-4.9 liters.
The most potent diesel versions belong to the coupe 225d. All operate with six-speed manual transmissions, optionally with eight-speed Steptronic.
Equipment
To ensure good vehicle handling, they are equipped with technologies for automatic engine startups together with transmissions. This is BMW EfficientDynamics.
Additionally, the cars come with rear-wheel drives, advanced wheel technologies, balanced mass distributions, powerful brakes, axles, and electric power steering.
Moreover, comfort is provided by:
- navigation systems;
- Drive Assistan functions;
- climate controls;
- IDrive mechanisms;
- touchscreen control units;
- audio devices;
- Eco Pro modes;
- ConnectedDrive.
ECO PRO is aimed at reducing fuel consumption. If desired, all heating/cooling systems are deactivated and limited. Transmission shift characteristics are altered by electronic gas pedals.
BMW ConnectedDrive devices, with built-in SIM cards, enable Teleservice. They provide access to intelligent emergency call systems and battery charge monitoring.
Restyling and Facelift
