The BMW M4 coupe does not tolerate compromises. This car embodies struggle and leadership. December 2013 marked the debut of the BMW M4. A day before the presentation, a video was released online showcasing the car's specifications and design.
General Features of BMW M4
In essence, the BMW 4 Series is not a standalone car but a two-door version of the BMW M3. The fourth series was created primarily to meet drivers' needs and provide comfort. In contrast, the third series is more practical and versatile.
The BMW M4 comes in two body types:
- Coupe-Convertible (F 83);
- Coupe (F 82).
A three-liter gasoline power unit is housed under the bonnet of the BMW M4. The engine features direct fuel injection, a twin-turbo system, and an inline arrangement of 6 cylinders.
The engine's power output depends on the chosen modification:
Standard. It boasts 432 horsepower, 551 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a manual transmission and a six-speed gearbox.
Performance. The engine delivers 450 horsepower, 551 Newton-meters of torque. You can opt for either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic transmission.
GTS. This version stands out with incredible technological features. A three-liter power unit, 500 horsepower, and 600 Newton-meters of torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Most engine components are made of aluminum and carbon fiber, reducing the weight of the wheels.
Drivers' Opinion on BMW M4
This car is considered a rare sight on our roads, yet the demand for the M4 is quite high.
Most owners mention that the sports car performs well on the track, but city driving is uncomfortable due to the stiff suspension. The engine and manual transmission can overheat, while the suspension components do not handle rough roads well.
Price of BMW M4 on the Market
Both new and used models can be found on the market, with prices varying based on the modifications.
A new BMW M4 starts from 4.6 million rubles.
A used BMW M4 is priced from 3.7 million rubles.
Exterior of the Car
The M Series looks striking and aggressive. The sloping hood, wide wheels, large air cooling sections, and front bumper with a low splitter all attract special attention.
The wheel rims feature special tires, while the brake calipers are painted in a yellow shade.
Interior Space
The BMW M4 shares the same interior design as the M3. It only stands out with aluminum inserts, a three-spoke steering wheel with accents, and aluminum inserts on the front panel.
