Review of BMW 120i (150 hp): Beautiful and Powerful

I have long wanted to buy this particular car; I was greatly impressed by its exterior, dynamics, only deterred by the reviews of car owners—many talked about the car being fragile and quite expensive in terms of maintenance, but I decided to take the risk. Now I will share both the positive and negative qualities of the car.

The Good: Quickly accelerates, excellent road grip. Easily maneuvers through turns, superb handling without any complaints. The interior is designed for comfort, meticulously crafted down to the details that may not be obvious at first glance. Good noise insulation.

The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the car is indeed fragile. Weak spots include various sensors that constantly light up on the dashboard, and if you need to fix them, it needs to be done quite frequently.

Replacing the sensor costs approximately 10,000-12,000 rubles; for cars of the same year as mine, engine issues start to arise, and they consume oil quite well. But in reality, less than 10,000 rubles for BMW maintenance seems like almost no one leaves a review about.

Review of BMW 1-series: Not Family-Friendly, But Stylish

My positive opinion about the car is based on its unique exterior. The car is compact, yet stylish. The reduced dimensions allow for a comfortable experience in urban environments.

So far, I haven't encountered any parking issues. For city dwellers, this factor is crucial.

However, the reduced dimensions have revealed another issue — lack of space in the interior. For a family of 4, the car is practically unsuitable. There is little room inside.

I'll also mention the small trunk volume as a downside. It won't fit many items.

BMW 1 — An Obedient Car for the Driver

I want to highlight the excellent handling. The car precisely responds to all commands, feels great in corners, and during sudden maneuvers. No complaints at all.

The model is ideal for urban environments, especially considering the quality of the asphalt in a specific region.

The BMW 1 series has low ground clearance. Potholes and bumps on the road can pose a serious obstacle to continuing the journey. Sometimes the car even scrapes the ground on speed bumps.

There's no need to talk about off-road capabilities. It's better not to test the car off-road. The limit of off-road capability is a gravel road to a country house plot. Even there, driving will require significant caution.

Review of BMW 1 series in terms of Automatic Transmission and Manual Gearbox

I have a BMW with an automatic transmission, and my brother has one with a manual gearbox.

My car with an automatic transmission shows less dynamism. However, when I drove my brother's car, I realized that there are no complaints whatsoever about the dynamics of the BMW 1 series with a manual gearbox. The car accelerates quickly and brakes confidently.

Reviews from owners about BMW 1-series

In my opinion, BMW 1 series have several advantages:

  1. Low fuel consumption.
  2. No high demands for fuel quality.
  3. Inexpensive repairs compared to other car brands.

Although, when comparing fuel consumption with similar models from competitors, they consume significantly less fuel.

Over time, the car starts to consume oil at a rapid rate. This happens after 30,000 km of mileage.

BMW 1 Has Both Pros and Cons

I will start my review with the lack of space in the cabin. However, one of the main advantages is the excellent sound insulation quality. The insulation keeps sounds at bay, preventing the appearance of specific noises in the cabin. Driving the car becomes significantly more comfortable.

Among the positive characteristics of the car, I will also add excellent ergonomic design of the interior. Minimal effort is required to engage any options.

The seating comfort is notable. Both the driver's and passenger's seats can be adjusted in various ways, providing comfortable seating.

However, the models lack the usual luxury of the brand. Another downside is the insufficient lateral support of the seats. During acceleration and maneuvering, quite unpleasant sensations arise.
