Review of BMW E90 2016

Hello, everyone! It is often said that dreams have a way of coming true, although not all of them. I had long dreamed of owning such a car.

I have had the opportunity to drive it a bit, so there is something to say about it.

Initially, I didn't even consider buying a 3-year-old car. I thought I would have to choose from pre-facelift options, mainly looking for suitable ones in terms of price. But then I was lucky to come across an advertisement from an official BMW dealer, located almost at the bottom of the market.

At first, I hesitated to call, thinking that the car would be either damaged or junk because dealers often have inflated prices. But then I decided to go, look, and even test drive it — there were no major complaints, which made me think.

Viewing cars sold by individuals ended with the realization that they were either damaged/re-painted or pre-facelift models for the same price. The second option was models with a 1.6/1.5 engine, which I didn't want to buy.

The price was reduced because the dealer needed to close the year and sell the car in any way. All scheduled maintenance had been done, and the mileage of 110,000 km was confirmed.

Driving the car gives you a real thrill from the rear-wheel drive. The car has a low seating position and perfect balance. This allows the car to confidently grip the slippery surface even with rear-wheel drive, provided the stability control is on.

But I expected a little more from this BMW model, as it was developed for the driver and to provide driving pleasure, so in my opinion, its handling should be perfect.

The main drawback I can mention is the headlights, which, despite their attractive appearance, have a low light level. This gives the impression that the company's marketers do this on purpose to force car owners to purchase more advanced versions. According to drivers, adaptive lighting is much better, but the standard lighting leaves much to be desired.

Fuel consumption is maintained at an acceptable level but depends on the driving style chosen. During calm driving, it is easy to stay around 10 liters, but as the speed increases, consumption rises to 13-14. Overall, I am satisfied with the car, and driving it brings only pleasure.

Review of BMW E90 2016

Hello, everyone! Reading numerous car owners' reviews, I thought that someday I would also write a review about my car. Over the years, cars have changed, but the review was never written. The recent purchase — BMW E90 — pushed me to action.

I would like to start by saying that I have always wanted to own a BMW car and dreamed about it. Although the dream did not turn into a goal, it did come true, which made me very happy. From the first days of use, I have had only pleasant impressions, without any particular euphoria, but for its class, the car is quite good.

Driving on all-wheel drive is comfortable, with a slight drawback in terms of issues when engaging the first gears of the transmission. The power unit works with a slight extraneous noise but quietly enough. Fuel consumption is a bit on the high side, but this can be attributed to the break-in period.

In the end, a 60-liter tank lasted for a 430-kilometer trip. Although fuel consumption is not of particular importance to me, saving is still nice. The soundproofing and braking system correspond to the class of the car and are much better than my previous cars, such as Tiguan and Mazda 6. An interesting feature is the bass-rich sound of the exhaust system, different from older models where it was completely different and somewhat subdued.

The installed tire brand is studded and wide-ranging Michelin X-ice North 3. I didn't replace the wheel discs because the car will be much higher on the stock 18-inch wheels, and with our road quality, this becomes highly important.

The LED optics demonstrate good lighting quality, far superior to bi-xenon. As for the standard audio system, I cannot say anything since I have not heard its sound.

The dealer decided to install an additional Alpine kit, consisting of a 6-channel amplifier, and replacing high-frequency speakers in the front door pillars, mid-frequency speakers in the front doors, and low-frequency speakers under the front seats. The sound quality is good, but it doesn't evoke much enthusiasm; it lacks sound power.

The interior trim is Alcantara, which heats up quickly in cold weather. Another feature is the installed winter package, an option that provides a high level of comfort, especially with the heated steering wheel. Overall, the car is excellent and will serve for a long time with proper care.
