About the Model

There are cars, and then there are BMWs. Vehicles from the Bavarian manufacturer are highly cherished by drivers. The models stand out with impeccable technical characteristics, attractive exterior design, and a comfortable and cozy interior.

However, there are downsides. The main drawback of all BMWs is the price. New cars from the brand come with a hefty price tag, and maintenance can also be expensive. Nevertheless, the unparalleled quality and elegant exterior design are worth every penny spent. Reviews about the BMW 3 GT only confirm this thesis.

Review of BMW GT 3 Series: Love at First Sight

I have a decent driving experience. I started driving a Niva, then upgraded to the first series of BMW. Essentially, at that point, all considerations about future cars disappeared immediately. I had no plans to consider anything other than BMW.

Over time, I decided to upgrade and go for something more premium. The choice fell on the BMW 3 GT. I am writing this review after 3 years of usage. The period may not be extensive, but definite conclusions can be drawn. Let's start with the basics:

  1. I bought a used car. It was a 2014 model that I acquired in 2018.
  2. Automatic transmission.
  3. Two-liter diesel engine with 184 hp.

Overall, I was fortunate. The car was from a single owner. The previous owner drove carefully, and it was evident that the car was well taken care of. After inspecting the car, we went for diagnostics. No flaws or defects were found.

Now, about the model. Over the 3 years of use, I only had to change consumables. Filters, oils, and other essentials. No repairs were necessary.

Overall, I am satisfied with the car. The model is long, so the interior is comfortable for both the driver and rear passengers. The amount of electronics is abundant, and customization through settings is extensive.

The seats are perfect. The side support and comfortable backrest eliminate fatigue from long drives. Once, we drove with the family for a 1000 km trip. There was no fatigue at all. You just drive and keep driving.

Review of BMW 3 GT, Pros and Cons

I purchased the BMW 3 GT from a dealership. I have owned the car since 2016. Overall, my impression is positive. I don't have any major complaints about the car. In the reviews of the BMW 3 GT, there is a lot of praise about «this Bavarian car», German quality, and all the other related aspects. In my comment, I will try to provide the most objective assessment.

Reviews from BMW 3 GT owners

Let's start with the pros. The car is indeed fantastic. I was enticed to buy it due to:

  • long wheelbase;
  • fuel-efficient diesel engine;
  • bold exterior design (like a toned-down X6);
  • comfort and simplicity in the interior;
  • extendable rear spoiler;
  • frameless windows;
  • variability of electronic settings.

The car is cool. But for this price, expecting something less sophisticated and advanced would be naive. Lexus, Mercedes, or Audi cars certainly do not fall short.

The performance is great. The acceleration from a standstill is like a bullet. However, this can also be a downside. 184 horses under the hood can be a provoking factor for aggressive driving for many drivers. Accidents are not far off in such cases. It's better to be cautious.

The long wheelbase provides comfort in the interior, but the risk of scraping the undercarriage on rough roads is quite high. I've experienced this more than once.

There is no spare tire. Run-flat tires can take you a couple of hundred kilometers in case of punctures, but the tires themselves are expensive. Moreover, not all cities have repair shops for such tires.

In winter, the windows often freeze at the bottom. Not critical. However, for such a price, one would expect more reasonable comfort.

Overall, my review of the BMW 3 GT is positive. I just recommend carefully assessing your financial capabilities before making a choice. Repairs can be costly.

Review of BMW 3 Series GT: Bimmer, and that says it all

While searching for a car, I focused on German vehicles. I considered the Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, and BMW 3 Series. My heart leaned more towards the Bavarian. The only concern was the low ground clearance. By chance, I stumbled upon a review of the BMW 3 GT on YouTube. From what I understood, it was the same model but with increased ground clearance. I was immediately captivated by the idea of buying it.

Reviews from BMW 3 GT owners

In general, the search began. I miraculously stumbled upon the car. I didn't have enough money for a new model, but I didn't want to buy junk either. There were plenty of resellers and their cars left much to be desired (damaged, repainted, poorly maintained by the previous owner).

I stumbled upon an ad almost by accident:

  • the model I needed;
  • German assembly;
  • mileage at 32 thousand km.

I met with the owner, inspected the car, and decided to buy it. Among the car's pros, I can mention the huge trunk and spacious interior. The car is perfect for a large family. We often go on picnics and out of town, and we never had any issues with luggage.

I haven't faced any repairs; everything works perfectly. In the future, I plan to perform engine chip tuning. I want more power under the hood. The dynamics and handling are excellent. I take turns without any problems, and I accelerate briskly from a standstill. However, there is no limit to perfection.

In my review of the BMW 3 GT, I want to highlight another aspect. If you enjoy off-road driving, it's better to opt for the all-wheel-drive version. I only have rear-wheel drive, so I don't take many risks. Getting stuck is the last thing I want.

Would you recommend this model?
