Review of BMW X6 2008

Greetings to all car enthusiasts!

I approached the choice of a car very carefully, as I have been a fan of this brand since childhood. The dreams of owning such a car have stayed with me for a long time. Initially, I had my eyes set on the coupe model e92.

However, I came across a fantastic option of the sixth series, which I purchased from a businessman who had a decent fleet of cars, all maintained in excellent condition.

Both the exterior and interior condition of the car completely satisfied me. The excitement of owning such a car lasted for two years after the purchase, and the sound of the exhaust thrilled everyone around.

The car's finish is made from materials of exceptionally high quality, everything is very pleasing and stands out due to its high level of comfort. Despite the considerable length of the car, visibility is excellent, and it is very easy to feel the dimensions.

The BMW X6's equipment is top-notch; the only thing missing was a night vision device. I quickly got used to the door closers and the fantastic sound of the Individual music system.

During use, no significant issues were noted. Initially, I tried to drive calmly both in winter and summer, but later realized that it's better to be cautious in winter.

I did not encounter any serious situations. One of the reasons for this was the car's insane dynamics and excellent acceleration, especially on asphalt with quality tires. Sometimes there might be wheel spin, but you just need to get used to it.

Fuel consumption in urban conditions ranged from 20 to 24 liters. Traffic flow was smooth even in congestion, without jerking. Speaking of the maximum speed, I managed to accelerate to a maximum of 260 km/h, but there was still a slight reserve, so it could go even faster by another several tens of km/h.

The car has a confident ride on the highway, with the ability to overtake almost any vehicle. Long trips can be particularly easy for the driver and the passenger next to them.

The car was purchased with a mileage of 64 thousand kilometers, and up to 100 thousand, there were no significant issues, except for the need to manufacture a coolant seal in the cylinder block alignment. But this issue is common, and the fix cost 30 thousand. It's not worth saving on parts because this car doesn't tolerate it.

Overall, the impression of the car is quite pleasant.

Review of BMW X6 2008

This car originally had a blue color. The purchase was made in August 2008 when there was finally an opportunity to update the personal fleet. After getting rid of the Skyline, I didn't want to buy a right-hand drive car. The choice fell on the BMW 6 series. At first, I thought that I wouldn't have to change anything in this car. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the M6 model, but the 4.5-liter engine of this car turned out to be sufficient.

Plans for the future include wrapping the roof with carbon, not just ordinary film but with real carbon coating. I would also like to install a LUmma overlay on the trunk lid.

Regarding the operation, there is nothing to talk about yet. I had to visit the service center only once for reprogramming the control unit, which enabled MP3 playback.

I would like to point out that compared to the 35m Skyline, the performance of the car transmission is fantastic. With the DS mode activated, the desire to manually shift gears completely disappears.

The transmission holds the revs perfectly, and if you release the gas, it instantly shifts to a lower gear, with timely engine braking. When the need arises to accelerate again, there is no need for kickdown as the transmission is already downshifted.

You can also engage the sport mode. Its feature is the altered throttle response. The car starts to react much more sharply to the gas pedal, making it impossible to move smoothly in traffic jams in this mode due to the abrupt jerks. I'm completely satisfied with the car.

Review of BMW X6 2004

At the first opportunity and with the necessary funds, I decided to purchase a BMW 645 convertible, with a power of 333 hp.

The engine sound is much quieter when driving with the roof closed. The sound insulation is not of high quality, but it's important to note that the roof is made of a different material.

However, if you fully open the roof and step on the gas pedal, you can easily hear the power of its 333 «horses.» The only downside I can mention is the expensive servicing at the service center; I have no other negatives to mention.

Review of BMW X6 2017

I would like to start by saying that the decision to buy a new car was made because there was only one car left in the family. A not entirely sober fishing enthusiast successfully crashed into my wife's car at a speed of about 80 km/h while she was taking our child to school. Fortunately, the car withstood the impact and, after repair, was sold to a reseller.

I didn't even consider what car to buy since I already had a BMW 6 series that I gave to my wife.

When I arrived at the dealership, I was set on buying the X6 with a 3-liter diesel engine. Before making the final order, I was offered to test drive the version with a 5-liter gasoline engine, which impressed me with its power and responsiveness.

After some time, when I compared it with the 3-liter diesel engine version, it couldn't perform as well in both regular and sport modes. In the end, I settled for the X6 5.0D version, which has a modified and reinforced 3-liter diesel engine, and the 5.0D designation was given by managers who believed it should demonstrate parameters, including fuel consumption, at the level of a 5-liter gasoline engine.

From all the available additional options, I chose high-comfort seats, adaptive lighting, a rear-view camera, ambient lighting, and 20-inch wheels.

On the day of receiving the car, the bright sun was shining, so the car shimmered in all the colors of the rainbow. The choice of color was left to my wife, and she made no mistake. Thanks to the adaptive lighting installed in the car, everything is visible even during night trips, as if it were daylight.

An attempt to accelerate on the autobahn to 220-230 km/h, and that's the limit where you can confidently accelerate, after that you start feeling some discomfort. At such a speed, fuel consumption ranges from 13 to 15 liters in urban mode, and the approximate number of kilometers that can be covered on one tank of fuel is 600-650 km.

In urban mode, under any circumstances, fuel consumption will be 11 liters. I decided to choose the digital instrument panel as it provides excellent navigation and the ability to flip through the required pages directly on the panel.

The rear seats are designed for three people, with no divider. The only drawback in urban mode is the start-stop mode, which I haven't gotten used to disabling permanently.

The car drives confidently, has sharp and precise steering response, and doesn't lose power after 200 km/h. The interior looks great. The car itself has become much softer due to the 20 rollers, with a normal appearance, manageability, and comfort level. The multimedia system provides quality sound.

The sports steering wheel is quite comfortable to hold, allowing precise control of the car. Some drawbacks in handling include moving the cruise control system to the steering wheel and the steering wheel heating control under the steering wheel, which was previously located on it.

The car has four driving modes. The first is ECO, which reduces all indicators on the dashboard, changes the display to blue, and shows the amount of kilometers saved. The second mode is Comfort, which is the standard mode for everyday driving.

The third mode is Sport, where the display turns red. The car becomes much stiffer and faster in this mode, activating a sports sound similar to a Formula 1 racing car. The fourth mode is the most interesting. It's called Sport+, and it has all the parameters of the previous mode, but in addition, stability control systems are disabled.

The first technical inspection will cost around 10 thousand rubles, while the second will be much more expensive, specifically 35 thousand. At the moment, the car has already covered 23 thousand kilometers.

For those who are still unsure about buying such a car, my opinion is unequivocal – it's worth it. After the update, the car has significantly improved. I have no complaints about its quality, and there is no alternative choice for it at the moment.

In this car model, almost all available systems are designed to increase comfort, both in the cabin and during the ride. Road irregularities are hardly felt, and an acceptable road clearance level allows you to ignore minor surface bumps. Overall, the car definitely deserves only positive reviews about itself.
